How to Whiten Salt Dough

A simple tutorial for creating beautiful white salt dough for christmas ornaments & gift tags!

I love creating with salt dough, but sometimes I wish that the dough was white rather than a tannish/sandy color.
So after creating some white salt dough gift tags last year I decided to dedicate a whole post to showing you how to whiten salt dough for things like gift tags & Christmas ornaments.
And guess what? Whitening salt dough is crazy easy!!





2 parts flour, 1 part salt, & 1 part water.
Easy peasy!
Knead for 15-30 seconds to create a nice ball of dough.
Then slowly add white paint, kneading it in with flour (as needed), until it is the color you like.
That’s it! All that’s left is to create!
