I was really on the fence about painting this vintage ceramic tree that was my Mom's. I have had it for 25 years & loved it as a kid growing up. Remember when taking ceramics class was all the rage in the 70's & 80's? My Mom & Aunt used to go about once a month & make all kinds of things. Unfortunately, this is probably the only piece we still have. To say I cherish it is an understatement, however, I found myself not displaying it because it didn't go with my decorations. I know that probably sounds awful, but if you are a little OCD with your decor like so many of us are, I am sure you understand. I decided it would make more sense to take it out every year & really enjoy it then keep it in storage. So, I gave it an update with two coats of silver mirror paint & painted the edges in faux snow. I ordered some new lights on ebay & now she is stunning! My daughter actually asked if I could give this to her when she gets her first house! That is what it is all about, passing things on that mean so much! Have a great day!
