Wham, Bam, Coral & Glam #octfabflippincontest

My first time using a paint sprayer with chalk paint. Oh... my... gosh! I will never use a brush again. Okay I probably will when I need a more shabbier surface... but still! TIME SAVER to the MAX!

Okay so I started out with this tired occasional table, nail polish, and scratches all over it. I chose this for my entry to The Fab Furniture Flippin' Contest. This month's theme was "Spray it Pretty" and is sponsored by HomeRight. They are so generous! They sent each contestant their own sprayer to use! HOW COOL IS THAT?

Stunning, isn't she? Let me know what you think of this project below in the comments.

My first layer of paint was the Coral Paradise by Shabby Paints (all my products but the glitter is from them). After figuring out how to use the sprayer and achieved a smooth beautiful finish with the coral I did a lighter coral towards the bottom by mixing Coral Paradise with Snow White.

Sprayed that on and then finished it at the very bottom with a layer of White ReVax. This was great to seal it. I then used Pearl ReVax to add a shimmer to the bottom half and sealed it all with Sheer Vax. The sprayer was awesome, easy to clean and switch from one color, sealer or shimmer to the other.

Once that was done I glittered the entire fronts of the drawers and side panels. I mixed 1/2 glitter and 1/2 decoupage medium (glue). Then painted it on with a brush, let it dry and repeated it 3 times till it was a sold coat.

And here is Callista! She is the first piece we have worked on as we redo my daughter's room into her "pre-teen" look with corals, aquas, golds, whites and a few splashes of other colors.

One more look at the before and after! Achieving the faded ombre look is sooooo much easier to achieve with a sprayer then a brush, trust me I have tried. Tell me what you think of this makeover! I would love to hear from you!
