Build a simple indoor trash box from cedar fence boards. This is a great afternoon or weekend project.
To build this project you just need a few tools, a saw, drill, and hammer. We're building with new cedar 8 ft fence planks. You could also use pine or reclaimed wood, it's your choice! Measurements will be based on the size of your garbage cans.

This was my garbage spot and it was pretty ridiculous and well - ugly! I decided it was time to clean this up by creating something that fit with our home. This led me to dark cedar because we have it throughout our entire home.
This was a simple build based on the measurements of my garbage cans. Each wall was connected with nails and sanded smooth before connecting into the shape of a simple box.
Once the box is assembled choose your favorite stain or paint for finishing touches. Additional building instructions can be found on my blog, the link is attached to this project. I even like the raw wood, cedar is just a beautiful wood selection.
I used stain, keeping the box clean and simple. I'm loving this solution, I've now got a clean garbage space which makes me a happy camper. For complete DIY Instructions visit my blog.
