Today I bring you by and I am honored to be participating in the Challenge. My design included deconstructing the dresser to build it into a bar cart for my lake home. The first challenge I gave myself was the one board challenge. I will do another post on this soon. I used a to securely fasten the 1" X 8" eight-foot board into a tray. I will link the post in here later.Next a stashed 2 X 4 was measured to the dimensions I needed and built to hold the weight of the cart as well as make it portable. The locking casters are 2 1/2" from I used the Sweetest day present from Prince Charming which is a Finish Nailer to secure the base to the sides of the dresser.First open a window for ventilation before opening the oil based gel paint. Then mix until you get to the consistency of pudding. This paint is very thick so you must work with it quickly. One or two brush strokes are plenty as it self-levels drying to a high-gloss finish. Now you can see how perfect this little beauty will be in my lake house. The design all started from the Removeable Tray. I love how the lumber which cost 7.00 dollars still had the character of the tree in the grain.
