I've placed apples on this wreath for the fall season, but the wreath could easily be changed our for other seasons.
-twigs, mulch pieces, wood shims, or even bamboo skewers (at 4" to 6" pieces)
-hot glue or E6000
-branch or grapevine wreath (I found mine at the local thrift store)
-harvest items to place on the "shelf", such as apples or pumpkins
-fall garland
-piece of chalk
Apply glue to 1/3rd of the twig pieces and wedge them into the branch wreath at a 45 degree angle.
Start out by making a fork with 3 twigs per apple.
Also glue two or three longer branches to the backside of the wreath for more support.
The whole idea is to create a pocket, nook or basket on the wreath so that you can place decor items, edible or otherwise that do not have to be glued or attached with wire.
