Black Ladder Back Chairs

A friend of mine had given me these sad weathered ladder back chairs and they had been sitting in the garage for a year. Now that I had a paint sprayer, I had the courage to try painting them.

This is what they looked like to begin with. The seats were really worn and the wood was even cracked in places.

I used some leftover "Blackberry House" furniture paint in "Iron Skillet"... a rich black.

This is the sprayer that I used and it made the whole process so much faster. Make sure to wash out the sprayer immediately after using it with the appropriate cleaner for the product that you used.

The black really gave them a new look and a new leash on life.

I also painted them black with another project in mind for a furniture painting competition. I love how the chairs look together with the planter. Now all I need is a covered porch on which to enjoy them!
