DIY Projects For Home Decorating: Craft Room Clean Up/Home Office

No matter how much I clean my office, once i start a project it's crazy mess going on.
This was my old Craft Room in my older home. It was always chaos but i worked there 80 hours a week. I knew where everything was and worked efficiently.

I decided in my new home I was going to be more organized (or at least try). I envy girls who are a little OCD with organization. No matter how hard I try to be organized, it never works. Jeez, this room was crazy/
My biggest issue and number one priority in my new house is ease of comfort and everything close by. My sewing station had to be positioned so I could move from basic sewing machine to serger without leaving my seat.

I organized so well that I have space for more stuff. Already i was looking on the net for some more storage but i really need to resist the urge. Its nice to have room to walk around.
I wish I could have my pattern/cutting table in here and have all my fabrics on shelving but just not big enough.

For those who are new to me, my name is Mish Volonino and i am the owner/designer of MishogaWear Custom Yoga Couture.

Ease of a swivel of my chair cuts time for sewing projects on the Serger and Sewing machine.

I love viewing everyone's craft room or creative space. I kind of wish i could redesign this space to more more rustic and repurposed decor but that would take an investment of time and money. This space is functional and looks nice enough when friends want a tour of my upstairs or need alterations on their clothing.
Most of the pieces of furniture used in this room are from the Michaels "Recollections" furniture collection, and IKEA furnishings.
