Repurposed Rustic Wedding Alter

With a little imagination and some old flea market finds, it's amazing what you can come up with. Our niece was planning her fall outdoor wedding and asked us if we could come up with a trellis/alter type of decor for their special day. We used an old ladder, a very cool rusty old crib ends, old fence boards, some barb wire and creative painting and engraving and this is what we got!

The 2 ladders were attached & used a long the top of the arbor.

The fence was being taken down anyway... and afforded the lumber to use for the sides of the piece. Gotta love repurposing these kinds of things!

Added a couple of heart cut outs with the blue paint behind it......

The old fence boards were used to build the sides & inserted the old crib ends for some "character".

The hearts that we cut out of the sides, became part of the rustic inserts.... used a little bit of old barb wire too!

Added touch by engraving their names in it....

A few fall decorations around it ...

And here is the final piece that the Newlyweds just loved!
