Chalkboard Town

To some people this might look like a pile of scrap wood, but to my wife she see's FREE toys! We spend a lot of time out in the garage, and my kids are constantly using their imaginations to create awesome things out of scrap wood. This time my wife got involved and turned their creativity into an actual toy.

Pile of scrap wood...

Using a miter saw, cut house and building shaped pieces from he scrap wood.

Since they are toys, be sure to sand them down and get any sharp corners rounded.

Finishing! I used danish oil to finish the wood, and once dry I applied 3 coat of chalkboard paint to the face of each house.
